Features to know about

Stay Level and Confident Under Heavy Loads: Up to 5,000 lbs of Load-Leveling Support

When you’re towing a big trailer or hauling a heavy load, the rear end can squat hard. The LoadLifter 5000 air springs add up to 5,000 lbs of rear axle support to keep your truck level and balanced. That means safer handling, better braking performance, and even tire wear. By taking the strain off your factory suspension, these air springs help your vehicle ride steady and maintain proper headlight aim when loaded down.

Dial In the Perfect Ride: Adjustable from 5 psi to 100 psi

Every load is different, so being able to tune your setup matters. Each LoadLifter 5000 spring can be manually inflated between 5 psi and 100 psi for the support you need. Inflate both evenly for towing or adjust them independently for side-to-side leveling when hauling uneven cargo. Manual inflation valves and air lines are included, and a compressor system with in-cab gauges can be added later for easy adjustments.

Built Tough for Real-World Use: Two-Ply Rubber and Zytel Endcaps

These springs are built to hold up under serious work. The bags use 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber for strength and flexibility, while the endcaps are made from high-strength Zytel nylon that’s lighter, stronger, and more corrosion resistant than steel. Upper and lower roll plates protect the bags from damage and increase load capacity. That kind of construction means less worry about leaks or corrosion down the road.

Smooths Out Rough Roads: Reduces Sway and Absorbs Road Shock

Hauling or towing doesn’t have to mean a rough ride. The air springs absorb bumps, sway, and road shock so your truck feels more stable over uneven pavement or when passing trucks on the highway. With proper inflation, you get a smoother ride loaded or lightly packed—without bottoming out or bouncing down the road.

Straightforward Setup for DIY Installers: Brackets and Hardware Included

You don’t need a full shop to install these springs. The LoadLifter 5000 comes with mounting brackets, hardware, manual valves, and air lines—everything you need to bolt it on and get rolling. Once mounted, just set your air pressure through the inflation valves on the bumper, dial it in for your load, and hit the road knowing your suspension is ready to handle whatever’s in the bed or behind the hitch.

I've only had the kit for a few days at this point, but it went together easily and the instructions are some of the better I've used for truck accessories. Full size, full color graphics really help. Following instructions exactly. it went together without any leaks and is performing great.

I have it on a 2018 Ram 3500 and with the bags at 5 PSI I can't really notice any difference in ride quality. I have yet to use it for its intended purpose (truck camper) since I don't have it yet but I'm sure it will improve stability. I can tell a difference is how much the truck leans going around a corner if I just even bump it up to 10psi empty. Only tough part of the install is tightening the bags to the bottom bracket after you have them on and aligned. You'll want to have a 14mm ratcheting wrench to make it not so frustrating.

The Airlift bags are awesome, also always great service from etrailer!

by:

Haven't had a heavy load yet but handles medium load well!

Easy Install.
Shipping was great FREE!

Just
don't fall for the REBATE unless you want a compressor to as it takes both AirLift and Compressor to qualify.

@KeithN Glad they are making your life better! Air bags are definitely the way to go when doing suspension enhancement, at least in my opinion. Are you using them on a work truck or for fun stuff?

by:

Great product and relatively easy to install on your garage floor. Installation videos by etrailer are great if you get stuck. Good product and I'd recommend you get the companion remote air compressor system if you have a camper or carry heavy loads frequently.

by:

I bought these about a year ago in until today. Those are the best investment that I ever put in my truck I would highly recommend them

by:

Received via UPS very fast. Box was a little ragged and the UPS driver waited as I opened it to make sure it was ok. One of the plastic bags holding nuts and bolts had come open allowing them to rattle around inside the box but only was missing a single flat washer. Easy install, I took a lot of breaks and I’m a little slow getting up and down so it took 4 hours. Held pressure overnight. I’m going to haul our 40 ft 5th wheel in a couple of days looking forward to using the air bags

I love the air bags for hauling our 5th wheel RV. Our truck used to squat some but now I run with about 80 lbs and brings truck back to standard height just have to remember to let some air out when unhooked from trailer or ride is a little stiff

by:

Overall Great Part . The air fittings could be upgraded as we have come across allot of issues with them . E trailer is always my go to for airbags and other parts . Great customer service

by:

I am very impressed with the function of the air spring system on my 2500 Dodge. It completely transformed the suspension for towing heavy loads thank you for your great product

by:

Overall experience with etrailer was very good. Air Lift was installed on a 2004 Dodge 2500 which is used to pull a 36 ft 5th wheel, stock trailer and lots of ton loads of cattle products. The Air Lift system has leveled out the ride, stabilized the ride and overall performance is excellent. The only issue I have is a minor air leak which requires regular checking and adding air. Have not been able to locate this leak and for the time being will just keep checking and adding air as needed. Yes, I would recommend Air Lift!!

You mentioned that you were experiencing minor air leaks. The easiest to see where the leak is coming from is to use a spray bottle with soap water to spray each fitting to see which is leaking. Once you have found it remove the air line and re cut it. Make sure to get a very straight even cut. An angled or crooked cut will cause leaking every time. Then place it back in and retest.

The Air Lift system is still performing as expected. The minor air leak was resolved. Under load the system provides a stable ride. When not under a load the ride is a little rougher...I just have to remember it is a 34 ton truck. Yes, I would still recommend the Air Lift system.

by:

This is a great system that is pretty easy to install for the average garage mechanic. Installed on a 2018 Ram Mega Cab with 6.7. 30 PSI in the bags and it eliminates the squat when pulling my fifth wheel. One year in and still works great with no air loss from week to week. In my opinion upgrading to the braided lines was just inexpensive insurance.

by:

Excellent product.

by:

They work well after fixing leak in line. 4 stars because I don't like the way they sit on the axle housing. I believe it would be much better if you rounded the points where they sit.i will be taking them off to do this myself for piece of mind.

by:

First, looking at the website was pretty easy to navigate. Ordered product and confirmed delivery email sent that evening. Received two days later. Box a little damaged, but that was on FEDEX. However everything inside in tact and instructions were simple to follow.

The product, I wish I would have gotten these years ago. Makes the unloaded ride much better and not so “horse bucking” that I was used to. I usually loaded the back with 150 lbs of sand. No longer, rides smooth. Haven’t had a loaded test yet but looking forward to it.

by:

Made towing camp trailer a breeze. No more bouncing and swaying

We bought this to stabilize our 3/4 ton pickup we use when pulling our large 5th wheel camper. Does a great job! Glad we bought it!

The air bags look great, James! Seeing all the different angles really helps see what they look like on. Thanks for sharing all those pics!

by:

Just received air bags 10/2/25 and installed on same day. Everything fit and bolted up just as directions said. Haven’t hooked trailer up yet to try them out but I’m sure they will work great. I got a set on my 1500 dodge and love them. It raises the rear of the truck moving weight back to the trailer got steering and breaking of the front back.

by:

Excellent material and the installation instructions were very clear and to the point with the best pictures that coincided with the written material. Only took me 2.5 hours from the start of assembling the air bags with the hardware on the workbench to putting away my tools! This is on my '04 dodge 3500 dually that will be handling my new Host Mammoth Slide in Camper that will set at apprx. 5000 lbs.! Beautiful to maintain level truck and to know that the springs are not collapsed and wearing them down prematurely as well as providing a safe handling truck when on the road.

by:

I installed these on a 2004 Ram 2500. I have towed an 11k fifth wheel approximately 10,000 miles with them and couldn’t be happier. The hardest part was figuring out where to put the airlines. I decided to run them through the existing frame holes and drill out the top license plate screws to give them a stealthy look with easy access to fill. Install didn’t take more than 2 hours with air tools.

by:

I have had the best experience with this company. First off I ordered airbags for my Dodge and I ordered the wrong ones so I called and they set me up with a return. I ordered the new ones that same day. This is a great company and will definitely do more business with these guys thank you

by:

Quick and easy install for anyone that can use a wrench. Bags help a ton with eliminating squat on the truck. If pulling trailers is in your daily routine then they are a must. Pull the trigger and order ya some. You won’t regret it and it’s the best bang for your buck

Glad to hear you are still liking them, Zach! Are the picture you sent in before or after the bags were installed? If it's after, I think you could actually go with a little higher pressure to really level out!
